Craig Carton is BACK

 

Craig Carton went from having the NY sports dream job the a star on the number one WFAN show, making over 2 MILLION dollars a year to essentially talk sports, to being locked up for over a year. The story behind what landed him behind bards is nothing less than wild. A blackjack gambling addiction turned fraud scheme, had him betting upwards of millions of dollars, taking helicopters to and from Atlantic City to NYC, just in time to make it to the morning show and do it all over again the next day. Using one gambling investor's money to gamble to pay his debt with another investor. These were gambling investors who invest hundreds of thousands of dollars, at times even millions, expecting a return from Carton's blackjack skills. It all caught up to him when the FBI grabbed him on his way to work in 2017 and he was sentenced to three years in jail. Fast forward, 2020, 1350 days later, its October 29th, 5pm and Chris Carton is back on the radio, back where he belongs, over the NYC radio airwaves. WFAN will forever be the greatest radio station of all time, and they continue to show why. Back to retain his throne. This is a moment we should all appreciate a man getting a second chance to do what he loves and get his shit together again. He's going to have to while he begins to pay back over 4 MILLION dollars in restatution.
